Edward Babbitt, aka "Skip," became an Of Counsel member with us in 2017, after a series of successful wins in preparing cases to jury trial with Mark since 2011. Mr. Babbitt has over 32 years experience of being a lawyer with the greater majority of those years being the voice for those injured due to some one else's fault.
He graduated from the University of San Diego School and began his legal career in 1985. Skip was admitted a member into the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) in October 2012, which is a distinguished legal organization comprising of attorneys who complete a minimum number of jury trials to verdict.
Skip's strengths stem from his confidence in his experience to navigate serious injury claims in the courts. During the course of litigation, and trial, it is important that a lawyer make many important decisions and assessments about risk, timing, pace, advantage, leverage, and value. To be effective in such decisions requires enormous levels of both personal and professional confidence. It is our experience in working with Skip that we see this extraordinary confidence first hand - much like a Master chess player wielding his next move, Skip makes all the right moves.
Skip and Mark have made a great legal trial team over the years, and periodically team up together on injury cases. Mark is honored to have him join as an Of Counsel member, as Skip has his own law practice just down the street. Together they make a formidable and effective trial team.
