This video illustrates the importance of having adequate Um/Uim (un-insured motorist/under-insured motorist) coverage in place as you drive in California. I represented Scott who was hit by an inattentive driver who caused him both spine and left shoulder (tear) injuries.

The at-fault party only had a minimal policy, which in California is only $15,000.00. California law mandates this as the minimum coverage, and it has been the law since the 1970's! I wonder what industry made sure this was in place? Hint: It begins with the letter "I" and ends with "rance." So knowing this, why would you ever drive in California with the same amount in Um/Uim coverage, or worse, not have any Um/Uim coverage? It is simply not smart.

I recommend EVERYONE have at LEAST $100,000.00 PER PERSON in Um/Uim coverage. If your budget allows, go higher in coverage. If you do the math on the numbers, it does not cost that much more per month to have $100,000.00 in Um/Uim coverage. With the epidemic of uninsured drivers in California it becomes a crap shoot.

To this end, Scott received great representation on his injury case. I helped him on the numbers greatly as he explains in the video testimonial. Remember, my job is to maximize my client's net recovery in any way possible, and sometimes you have to get creative. In the end, my goal is to show the value of my service in my client's eyes. End of story.
