Drunk Driver Killed in San Diego Car Accident, 4 Others Injured

July 22, 2011, San Diego, Calif -- A San Diego car accident took place when a man lost control of his vehicle and hit an oncoming car Saturday morning, July 16, reported the San Diego Union-Tribune. 

San Diego police said the driver, who was identified by the county Medical Examiner's Office as Bryan Larman, 28, was southbound in a Mitsubishi on Ulric Street near the intersection of Ulric and Fashion Hills Boulevard.

He tried to pass another vehicle but lost control of his car and passed over the center divider. Thereafter, he struck an oncoming Nissan Frontier.

Larman was taken to the hospital and treated for a traumatic head injury sustained in the accident, but he succumbed to his injuries and died shortly before 10 a.m.

Police say Larman had been driving under the influence of alcohol when the accident occurred. In regards to the Nissan Frontier that was hit, 4 were injured - 2 adults and 2 children ages 6 and 10. They were hospitalized and treated for moderate and major injuries.
