Marines Were Identified in the Baja Car Crash Last Week

Today, the U.S. Military, released the identity of the two Marines who were based at Camp Pendleton who died last week in the a car accident in Baja California last Friday, July 3, 2009. The two fatally injured marines were: Lance Corporal Julio Galvan from Maywood, Illinois, and Private First Classs Isidro Godinez of Calexico, California. The car accident happened at approximately 3 am on Friday morning per the officials with the United States Marine Corps.

Mr. Galvan was 21 years old, and Mr. Godinez, was 19 years old, and their job duties with the U.S. Marine Corps were as diesel mechanics with the 1st Marine Division, 3rd Combat Engineer Battalion. Mr. Galvan was with the U.S. Marines since June 2008, and Mr. Godinez enlisted in March of 2008.
