Three things cannot be long hidden: The SUN, the Moon, and the Truth by Hindu Prince Gautama Siddharta, the founder of Buddhism, 563-483 B.C.
The truth is that ALL life on planet Earth is derived from the excellent sun we all share daily. It is like a great heart that beats towards and through every living organism. The oxygen in our atmosphere is transformed into Sun energy by the earth's plants. Plants absorb Sun rays (energy), which quickly convert into carbon dioxide (CO2) and into the all-important element of oxygen (O2) for all animals and living organisms to respire (breathe). Indeed, all respiration is dependent upon solar (sun) energy.
Think about it - the foods we eat are energy storage of transformed solar energy. When plants undergo photosynthesis, they capture energy from the Sun into their roots, leaves, and stems. The sun's energy that beams down upon us is vital to our health. Our bodies comprise millions of tiny capillaries that transport blood in and from the skin's surface. Sunlight directly nourishes blood hemoglobin, like plant chlorophyll converts Sunlight energy into nutrients for the plant to produce oxygen.
I don't know about you, but sunlight makes everyone cheerful and bright, producing a healthy and positive attitude. Research has shown that a lack of sunlight is alarming for the body and has the opposite effect. In colder climates, most people stay indoors all winter long and are afflicted with what is called "seasonal depression," which has been associated with a lack of Sunshine. Research also shows that a good sunbath is a very efficient eliminator of waste as it helps to draw out toxins from the skin, which is the human body's largest organ; therefore, it is the body's largest waste eliminator organ. Sunlight can build the immune system and increase the oxygenation of the skin. Check out a book by Dr. Zane R. Kime, M.D., M.S., entitled "Sunlight" for more information. Sunlight also lowers blood sugar as it is a natural insulin.
In the video on this webpage, you will see author Robert G. Wright giving his take on the healing powers of the Sun and its importance to us all. He is the author of Killing Cancer-Not People.
