Fatal Car Accident in Mission Valley, San Diego, California

Two people are hospitalized after a fatal car accident in Mission Valley. The accident happened on northbound Interstate 805 at Interstate 8 just before 3:00 a.m. Monday. A pick-up truck, with two people inside, spun out of control and hit a tow truck that was parked on the right hand shoulder. "The driver from the Tacoma was transported to the hospital," said Daniel Kyle with the California Highway Patrol. "The driver of the tow truck was also taken to a hospital. Unfortunately, the passenger of the Tacoma was deceased at the scene from the impact."

There is no word yet on exactly what caused the accident.
