RECORDS REQUEST: Do I have to give my cell phone records to the insurance company after a California car or motorcycle accident?

A: No, you are not required to turn over your cell phone records to your insurance company or the other driver's insurance company unless a lawsuit has been filed, and the records a formally requested in a "discovery request."   If a lawsuit has not been filed then you do not have to turn over your records.  It is best to consult with an experienced California personal injury lawyer regarding your unique injury case.
