What are Zeolites & How Do They Help to Detoxify the Human Body?

Dr. Brian Clement, Ph.D., president of the Hippocrates Institute in Florida, discusses “Zeolites.” Zeolites are microporous minerals that are highly absorbant and have been used world-wide for water purification and nuclear fall out. For example, they were used in Chernobyl back in 1986 to absorb radioactive isotopes! Thus, Zeolite is a type of clay that can be used in the human body to help detoxify it from heavy metals and radioactive minerals. Natural Zeolites form where volcanic rocks and ash layers react with alkaline groundwater. The history of clay consumption is nothing new and has been a staple of many ancient cultures since the dawn of time and is known as “geophage.” Clay, soil and earth minerals can be ingested to aide the body in detoxifying it of harmful chemicals – Zeolite clay can be mixed with water or put into a smoothie to help detoxify the body and is becoming more popular today with international spas and health enthusiasts.
