Worker Killed at a Chula Vista Demolition Site

A worker was killed on May 28, 2009, at a Chula Vista demolition site when a large steel beam fell on him. The victim was a 26-year old Escondido resident according to the Medical Examiner’s office. He was pronounced dead at the scene when emergency personnel arrived; the fatality occurred at the 500 block of Marina Parkway in Chula Vista.

The California Occupational Safety & Health Department has been investigating this tragic accident.
