San Diego Maritime Accidents: San Diego Water Way Injuries

Hi, this is California Personal Injury Attorney Mark Blane, and I would like to talk to you briefly about water-way accidents, also known as Maritime injuries. Here in San Diego, and elsewhere in California where there is a lot of water, bays, rivers and lakes, we have many people enjoying the outdoors on watercraft like boats, and jet skis. Also, we have many workers employed at the docks.

Unfortunately when there is an accident on the water it is usually very serious. What you need to know is:

1. Unlike with Auto insurance, California law does not make it mandatory for a boat, jet ski, or water craft to carry a liability policy (insurance);

2. Where does one look to or go after for compensation when one is injured on the water as a result?, and,

3. If an water accident happened while you were working then there are different laws that apply under both State and Federal jurisdiction;

Obviously, one needs an experienced Attorney:

1. to know which law applies,

2. to research the at-fault party to find compensation;

3. and to also establish fault which is not always clear when it involves a boating accident.

At the Law Offices of Mark Blane, we have been handling Maritime water-way injuries since 1999, and we have the experience needed to help you in your case; if you enjoyed this blog post and would like to see others, simply visit my website at www.blanelaw.com, and click on the video center to see other legal videos that may help you with other types of injuries.
