Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-805 Leaves 1 Person Injured in San Diego

May 2, 2011 - San Diego, Calif. - Six vehicles were involved in an accident on Interstate 805 in the southeast area of San Diego, and at least one individual suffered injuries, 10News.com has reported.

The accident occurred around noon on April 23 and led to the closure of one lane of the busy freeway. The crash scene was on I-805 north before Imperial Avenue. According to officers from the California Highway Patrol, an individual driving a red sedan lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll over.

The crash on I-805 caused five other motor vehicles to crash. In the mayhem, several cars were turned around and left facing the wrong way. A Scion that was forced onto an embankment lost a tire, one officer said.

The injured individual's condition had not been reported. One officer said traffic was severely backed up.
